Cookies

The short version

This site uses almost nothing. There is one cookie, it is ours, and it is set only if you actively choose a currency. There is no analytics tag, no advertising, no retargeting, no social pixels and no embedded video. The language you are reading in is carried in the address bar — /en, /fr, /it — not in a cookie, and you are never redirected by where you are.

The one cookie

pp_currency — first-party. It remembers the currency you asked to see prices in, so the choice survives a page change. It holds a three-letter currency code, no identifier of any kind, and it is never used to recognise you or to follow you between sites. It lasts a year, and it is set only when you pick a currency. Clear it and prices display in euro again; nothing else changes.

The map

Two pages can show an interactive map, and it is served by Google. Loading it sends a request to Google, which means your IP address reaches them. We checked what it then writes to your browser: on our own testing it set no cookie and no browser storage of any kind. That is what we observed rather than what we were told, and if it changes we will change this page. Maps on individual property pages and in brochures are images produced on our servers, so those pages send Google nothing at all.

Managing your choice

Every browser lets you view and delete cookies from its settings, and refuse them altogether. Doing so costs you nothing here: prices return to euro and the rest of the site is unaffected. Whether Monegasque law requires us to ask your permission before setting a preference cookie of this kind is a question we have put to our lawyer, and we will act on the answer rather than assume it.
